Picture
Tran Hoai Duy, pseudonym Yui Hartward, is a junior 2D concept artist from Vietnam. He is working in Toronto, Ontario, where he specializes in digital painting, figure painting, and character design.

Yui has an educational background in various areas. Starting with an Art Foundations program at Sheridan, he pursued animation at Humber Polytechnic where he studied 3D animation and later honed his animation skills further at Seneca, concluding with a 2023 diploma in Video Game Animation at Toronto Film School. Finally, he went back to Humber and will be graduating in the Visual Arts and Digital Arts program, where will participate in his first open exhibition - Lingua Franca - in April 2026.

As a concept artist, his style is influenced by Japanese manga comics and animation, as well as video games. His preferred genres range in a mix of fantasy and psychological with modern elements. He eventually plans to publish his passion project, "Advantasy", an original fantasy comic. He hopes that this project will find its audience in people who are passionate about visual storytelling.
