Thomas Mathur

Picture
Thomas Mathur is a Toronto-based artist specializing in drawing, acrylic paint, digital art, and collage. He works in a creative process driven by stream of consciousness. He likes to evoke an emotional response in the viewer, rather than conveying a specific meaning.

Thomas is a graduate of the Visual and Digital Arts program at Humber Polytechnic. There, he learned life drawing, different styles of painting, and digital software, among many other mediums. His work was also featured in a group exhibition at Centennial College. There, he showed charcoal drawings of a live model.

Thomas will be in the Lingua Franca group exhibition in April, where he will be showing the body of work he has cultivated during his time at Humber. Having started with traditional drawing and painting, Thomas is currently experimenting with Photoshop. There he is creating surrealist and abstract works and expanding his artistic output and skillset.
